 BPSC Exam Pattern 2015 Marking and Paper Pattern Details 

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) announces the recruitment exam under different administrative services under Group B and C respectively through the common written exam held in the state every year. The candidates wishing to participate in the concerned exam must check the detailed process of recruitment which includes the eligibility, paper pattern and qualifying criteria from the information as given here below.

Name of Exam: BPSC Recruitment Exam
Conducting Authority: Bihar Public Service Commission


The candidates should have passed graduation in any discipline from nay recognized university/ colleges for appearing in the Bihar Public Service Commission exam. The qualifying ages of all the candidates should be ranging in between 19 and 24 years. The candidates seeking relaxations in the upper ages will be given as per the rules framed by the government for this purpose.

Qualifying Disciplines for Eligibility:
Graduate in any discipline &
Mathematics/ Mechanical Engineering/ Economics/ Chemical Engineering/ Geology/ Civil Engineering/ Natural Sciences

Exam Pattern:
The exam will consist of the following three stages namely: Preliminary Exam, Main Exam and Interview respectively.
1. Preliminary Examination
This will consist of objective type questions on the following three compulsory subjects and 2 optional papers to be answered in the Mains Exam.
a) Mathematics
b) GK (General Knowledge) and
c) English
Optional Papers:
a) Geology
b) Economics
c) Mathematics
d) Mechanical Engineering
e) Statistics
f) Physics
g) Mechanical Engineering
h) Chemistry
i) Statistics
j) Zoology and
k) Agriculture respectively

Main Examination:
This paper of the exam contains the subjective type questions from any two optional papers as selected by the candidates for this purpose.
The interview is held for all the written –preliminary and main qualified candidates only. The final selections in the Bihar Public Service Commission Recruitment Exam shall be based on the performance of the candidates in all the three examinations.
